Womens Figure Competition -- Preparation

How To Prepare For Figure Competition

So, you’re thinking about entering a figure competition. Well, you’ve come to the right place to get a good start. I’m not going to lie to you and tell you that this is going to be a walk in the park, but if you’re really dedicated to this, you can have a great deal of success in this area. This article is going to share a few tips to get you started and then point you to where you can get some more info.

Probably the most important thing is mindset. You have to believe that you can do this. Not only that, you have to be mentally prepared for what needs to be done. Like I said, this is not going to be easy. Nothing worth while is. So unless you’re prepared to go into this with the attitude that nothing is going to stop you, you might as well not even begin. I’m dead serious. A big percentage of this battle is between your ears.

Next thing you MUST do is eat right. This doesn’t mean you can pig out on your favorite apple crisp whenever you so desire. This means a very strict diet. You know, the kind that makes you want to pull your hair out of your head. And don’t design this diet on your own. Get a qualified professional or a trusted source to put one together. There are a lot of hacks out there, so you need to be very careful.

Finally, you need to train daily…not just when you want. Do not overdo things. You can’t work out 2 hours one day and 6 hours the next day. Your workouts have to be structured so that everyday is the same routine. Oh yeah, it’s going to get real dull after a while. And there are going to be days where you’ll feel like throwing in the towel because you’re not seeing the progress that you’d like. That goes with the territory. Learn to deal with it.

Essentially, this all comes down to one very important thing called discipline. This is not something that anybody can teach you. It’s something that YOU have to develop on your own. After all, YOU are your own boss here. Nobody is going to drag your butt out of bed each day to do your routine.
